State Health Directors Attend 10th
Annual SEPHLI December Retreat
CHAPEL HILL, NORTH
CAROLINA -- On
December 11-14, 2006, the Southeast Public Health Leadership
Institute (SEPHLI) hosted its 10th Annual December Retreat.
This high-profile four-day leadership retreat was held at the Paul J.
Rizzo Conference Center.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, SEPHLI was honored to host a regional
panel discussion for the 40 graduating and 41 incoming scholars in attendance. On the panel were six regionally and nationally
recognized state health leaders: Dr. Leah Devlin (NC), Mr. Morris Govan
(SC), Dr. Kenneth Robinson (TN), Mr. Jeff Lake (VA), and Dr. Cathy Slemp
(WV).

Other honorable attendees were SEPHLI state representatives Pamela Busby
(TN), Dr. John Dreyzehner (VA), and Arlene Rose (AR), and NC Institute
for Public Health leaders Drs. Ed Baker, John Graham, Rachel Stevens,
Claudia Fernandez, and Donna Dinkin.
SEPHLI would also like to thank Dr. Chris Musselwhite and
his staff at Discovery Learning, Inc. for ten years of facilitating cutting-edge
public health leadership training. Each December, Dr. Musselwhite and
his staff facilitate several key leadership development sessions.
