SEPHLI Leadership Project Review Committee

Scholar
and SEPHLI VA Representative Dr. John Dreyzehner shares
project with NCIPH Director Dr. Ed Baker |
Due to the increasing number of outstanding leadership projects
each year, SEPHLI created a Leadership Project Review Committee. The
purpose of this committee is to determine the top award-winning
final projects in the areas of Assessment, Assurance,
and Policy Development for each year's class
(one in each category for a total of three award winners),
and to share throughout the North Carolina Institute for Public
Health the great work of SEPHLI scholars who represent the
local public health workforce across the southeast. This
is an attempt gain more inter- and intra-organizational recognition,
and to show the high level of impact scholars’ projects
have in their local and state-wide communities.
The committee is composed of ten knowledgeable and experienced public
health professionals within UNC. Each committee member is to score
applicants based on a criteria sheet which scores scholars on:
- Development of leadership skills
- Application of skills learned from SEPHLI
- Project impact in scholar’s community and/or organization
- Replication potential
- Use of collaborative efforts
- Importance and relevance to organization and/or community
- Use of mentors
- Adherence to project deadlines
SEPHLI would like to thank the members of the Leadership Project Review
Committee for their time on this important initiative!
