SEPHLI May Retreat Brings Public Health Leaders
Together

Boston, VA -- Monday
May 1 initiated the second on-site session for
the twelve-month leadership program, the Southeast
Public Health Leadership Institute, or SEPHLI.
In attendance for this key three-day meeting
were notable presenters: Dr. Kathleen (Kay) Edwards,
Dr. Claudia Fernandez, Dr. Bob Howard, Dr. Rachel
Stevens, Mekeisha Williams, and 44 public health
leaders participating in SEPHLI. |

SEPHLI public health leaders arrived from Arkansas,
North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia,
and West Virginia for this learning-intensive retreat
to participate in public health leadership development
sessions including: professional assessment and tools
including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Fundamental
Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior, and
Emotional Quotient Indicator assessments; team-building
exercises, and professional development in crisis
communications management. For
