SEPHLI May Retreat Brings Public Health Leaders Together

Berry Hill Plantation Resort, South Boston, VA -- Monday May 1 initiated the second on-site session for the twelve-month leadership program, the Southeast Public Health Leadership Institute, or SEPHLI. In attendance for this key three-day meeting were notable presenters: Dr. Kathleen (Kay) Edwards, Dr. Claudia Fernandez, Dr. Bob Howard, Dr. Rachel Stevens, Mekeisha Williams, and 44 public health leaders participating in SEPHLI.

SEPHLI public health leaders arrived from Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia for this learning-intensive retreat to participate in public health leadership development sessions including: professional assessment and tools including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior, and Emotional Quotient Indicator assessments; team-building exercises, and professional development in crisis communications management.  For more information, please visit www.sephli.org
