2006-2007 Award Winning Leadership Projects

Best Overall Scholar

Each year, SEPHLI recognizes an outstanding scholar who distinguishes themselves from the rest of the class by showing achievement in all aspects of the leadership development institute.  This year, the Best All-Around SEPHLI Scholar Award was given to Natasha Jones, Policy and Procedure Coordinator and Nutritionist III at the Office of Nutritional Sciences within the WV Department of Health & Human Services.  Natasha’s final project was entitled, "Implementing Valued Enhanced Nutrition Assessment (VENA) in the West Virginia WIC Program.”  Read this project abstract. Best Team

The SEPHLI Team-Work Award went to the HIGH 5. Team members are Joy Cook, Terri Jarvis, Jean McNeil, Kay Rankin, & Bob Weedon. HIGH 5 set the bar for teamwork this year with outstanding team organization, mentorship, commitment, and not to mention those cool HIGH 5 golf shirts and caps!
