Bill Kearns began his leadership career as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps of which he obtained many awards and citations. This was the founding base for extensive leadership skills that were obtained and utilized thoughout his career and is still practiced each and every day.
Bill began his Health Career over 15 years ago as a Public Health Administrator for the second largest county in the State of West Virginia. During his tenure, he has at times been placed in this position over multiple counties. Being responsible for maintaining a multiple-million dollar budget and supervision of nearly 20 employees are just a sampling of his day to day responsibilities.
In Bill's continued dedication to Public Health, he served as president of a local non-profit agency that distributed client based services to individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. As a member of the West Virginia Public Health Association for over 13 years, he has served in many capacities of leadership thru the Executive Council and can be testified thru a vote of his peers to the position of President of which he currently holds.
Bill can be found during off work hours spending time with his devoted wife of over 21 years, Marybeth and his college aged daughter Kristen as well as providing assistance to his church and other community agencies.
Bill's favorite relaxing times are during Spring and Summer months where he can be found cruising around on his motorcycle.
