Mary Jane Sauls, BA, MS

Mary Jane Sauls began her career in 1994 as a Social Worker employed by the Johnston County Department of Public Health. In 1996 she came to the Harnett County Department of Public Health where she provided Maternity Care Coordination and Child Service Coordination services to families. She was promoted in 2002 as the Social Work Program Manager.
She currently serves as the Program Administrator for the Division on Aging which merged with the Harnett County Department of Public Health. She currently manages the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, the Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults, the Elderly Nutrition Program, the In-Home Aide Program, the Caregiver Support Program, the Maternity Care Coordination Program and the Child Service Coordination Program.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1992 and returned to school in 2001 when she obtained a Masters of Science degree in Management.
She served as the 2008-2009 President of the North Carolina Public Health Association. She also served as the 2005-2006 President of the Eastern District- North Carolina Public Health Association. She was received the 2007 North Carolina Public Health Association, Social Work Section Outstanding Achievement in Public Health Social Work Award. She also received the 2009 Eastern District –North Carolina Public Health Association Outstanding Career Achievement Award.
Mary Jane lives in Clayton with her husband Mike, and her two daughters Taylor (11) and Kassidy (5). In her spare time she enjoys serving in her church and relaxing.
