Stephanie did undergraduate work at both West Virginia University and Marshall University and received her degree from St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She has a diverse background as a nurse working both in long term care and behavioral health and serving as a pioneer for the development of work place wellness in West Virginia. She has done extensive work with program design focused on prenatal and cardiac health issues. Stephanie was invited to be a member of the West Virginia 2010 Cardiac Health Workgroup to assist in the development of health goals for the state.
The past eight years have been spent with the Division of Immunization Services. In her capacity as the Core Operations Program Specialist (COPS) Supervisor, she oversees a five member team who are responsible for the core components of the division. Stephanie provides supervision and guidance to each team member to grow their programs in line with the division’s mission statement and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Stephanie coordinates the statewide Perinatal Hepatitis B Program and is working to expand the identification and education efforts throughout West Virginia.
Stephanie is the proud mother of three sons and is active in her community. She enjoys archery, motorcycle riding and boating. In her spare time, Stephanie may be found in the recording studio or on stage with her band The Mark IV. She and her youngest son Dillon reside in a 100 year old house nestled on the banks of the great Kanawha River in Leon, West Virginia.
