Meet the 2008 Scholars

Mark Wigal,  MS

Mark is  the Vendor Unit Coordinator for the WV WIC Program.  His is responsible for the oversight of authorized WIC vendors in the state.  Mark has been with the WIC program for one year.  Prior to joining WIC, Mark worked for the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services for six years, holding several positions through out that time.  Prior to working for public health, Mark worked at a WV hospital for 22 years as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic; for which he still retains a license to practice.

Mark has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Wheeling Jesuit University, Wheeling, WV.  He has a MS in Engineering Safety from Kennedy-Western University and is currently working toward fulfilling the requirements to become a Registered Nurse.  He is also refreshing his human resources education by attending courses at West Virginia State University.
