I am a native Arkansans and live in Jacksonville, Arkansas. I have earned my Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership with a Concentration in Conflict Resolution, my Master Degrees in Public Administration and Human Resource Development, and my BA in Business. I have had the distinct opportunities of receiving leadership certificates from Arkansas Public Health Leadership Academy (Little Rock) and South Central Public Health Leadership Institute (Tulane), and received several awards from the Governor of Arkansas and a Capital Citation from the Secretary of State of Arkansas.

I have 24 years of leadership experience and service delivery with the Arkansas Department of Health. Currently, I function as the Regional Administrative Manager for seven counties. My responsibilities include: assist with establishing regional strategic plans/quality assurance; conducting administrative and program evaluations; assessing and assuring core public health functions; managing regional contracts, human resources, budget and maintenance/operations; and serve on the Regional Emergency Preparedness Response Team.

My passion is to secure a senior leadership position within the Arkansas Department of Health with a primary focus on environmental challenges that impact the Healthy People 2010 goals and objectives. I serve as a board member for the Pulaski County Council for Children and Youth Services, active church member and teacher, and mentor for the Arkansas Birthing Project. I previously served as chairperson for several Arkansas Public Health Association auxiliaries. I also established and facilitated the first Pulaski County Hometown Health Coalition.
