Donna Euben is a consultant on nonprofit advocacy issues and leads
workshops on lobbying and relevant federal tax laws that govern
advocacy activities of charitable organizations.
Counsel at the American Association of University Professors (AAUP),
where on higher education legal issues she presents, writes and
advises college and university faculty, administrators, lawyers
and others. She previously served as Nonprofit Advocacy Counsel
at the Alliance for Justice where she conducted over 100 workshops,
provided technical assistance, and produced legal guides for nonprofit
organizations on permissible advocacy activities under federal tax
and election law. She also practiced labor and employment law as
an associate in a unionside law firm. Before her legal career, Ms.
Euben was an organizer and lobbyist for a number of public interest
groups, including 9to5, the National Association of Working Women
and the Child Care Action Campaign.
Ms. Euben has conducted lobbying workshops for a number of public
health organizations, including the Mid-Atlantic Health Leadership
Institute, the Smokefree Maryland Coalition, and the Public Health
Leadership Institute of North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Ms. Euben clerked with Justice Handler of the New Jersey Supreme
Court, and is a graduate of Oberlin College and Brooklyn Law School,
where she served as Editor-in-Chief of Brooklyn Law Review.
