Keith
Caver
Mr. Caver is the Practice Leader & Manager of
Executive Development for Development Dimensions International
(DDI). Prior to joining DDI, Keith was the Director of Custom
Solutions for the North American Region at the Center for
Creative Leadership, headquartered in Greensboro, NC. In
this capacity, he was responsible for leading the Center’s
client specific business with respect to client management,
program design, content, delivery and quality for North American.
Previously, Keith was the Director of Client and Assessment
Services responsible for global open enrollment and product-sales
initiatives and the Center’s global integrated assessment
scoring platform. In addition to his primary responsibilities,
Keith served as an Enterprise Program Associate designing
and training both open enrollment and client-specific programs.
He was a core trainer for both the Leadership Development
Program (LDP)® and the African-American Leadership Program,
participated in CCL® sponsored research projects, served
as an executive coach, and facilitated seminars on an array
of subjects ranging from organizational change to diversity.
Key clients with whom Keith has worked include General Motors,
Xerox, the Central Intelligence Agency, Citigroup, Ford Motor
Company, Verizon ISP, the American Organization of Nurse
Executives, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health, and the US Congress.
Keith joined the Center in 1998 after retiring from a 20-year
career as an Air Force officer. He now brings a unique background
to DDI, combining operations management, quality control,
diplomatic service, and extensive leadership experience from
varied roles throughout the United States and abroad. Keith
also served as an Assistant Professor at both the University
of Maryland at College Park (European Division) and North
Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Keith’s responsibilities include:
- Consulting with clients
to determine appropriate human performance strategies
- Designing
and executing leadership and workforce development, performance
management and succession management strategies for all levels
- Conducting
executive- and senior-level assessment and developmental feedback
sessions
- Personal consulting and coaching for executive level leaders
- Customizing training modules to meet client specifications

Keith is the co-author of Leading in Black in White: Working
Across the Racial Divide in Corporate America and the author
or co-author of a number of other publications regarding
leadership issues.
